This one needs to have less color in the background to have a foreground middle ground and background. You can achieve this by glazing over the foliage in the back with a complementary color (blue). Then it will be portfolio worthy.
The one above needs some work or we need to submit something else (one of your photos) to your portfolio. I like the experimentation though.
